My real name is Mary. I am a wife, mother, RN (currently not working). I like to read, walk, quilt, ski (this done more in the past) and hang with my family and friends. I've had Crohn's Disease, which is a chronic inflammatory illness that affects my gastrointestinal tract (and the subject of my blog) since age 8. I'm now 51 so I consider myself very knowlegeable on most things Crohn's. I am also very aware of feelings and the "psychsocio aspects" caused by chronic illnesses in general (esp. the "hidden" illnesses but, of course, everyone "walks in their own shoes").
